He leads engagement meetings, evaluates internal controls, audits contracts and financial reports, and delivers actionable reports to leadership—overseeing transactions exceeding multimillion-dollar thresholds. As a subject matter expert, he designs and delivers large-scale training, leads compliance initiatives, and identifies ineligible uses of federal funds to safeguard resources.
In program management, he guides multiple project teams, develops standard operating procedures for grants management, and partners with senior leadership to expand services, secure new clients, and enhance offerings. As a Contracting Officer’s Representative, he manages contracts valued at over $20 million, applying rigorous oversight and strategic vision to achieve high-impact outcomes. He leverages deep expertise, a collaborative approach, and a commitment to continuous improvement to strengthen organizations and empower teams in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
Patrick Obrist, Co-Founder/CEO
With over 20 years of international development experience, Patrick drives transformational change through proactive project implementation, strategic grants management, and full-cycle resource mobilization. He leads high-performing, cross-functional proposal teams that consistently deliver cost-efficient, client-responsive applications and proposals for the U.S. federal government, bilateral donors, and foundations. By applying Shipley-style best practices, he has secured seven- and eight-figure wins on complex proposals ranging from under $1 million to over $55 million.
He leverages his knowledge of U.S. government rules and regulations, Federal Acquisition Regulations, and robust analytical and communication skills to excel in dynamic, fast-paced work settings. With extensive operational experience across Africa and Asia and professional proficiency in French, he drives resource acquisition solutions and achieves high-impact results in diverse, cross-cultural environments.
